Spencer Smith - 9th Grade Linebacker Coach
Spencer Smith returns to his Alma-Mata, following his graduation from the University of Hawai'i. Smith was a four year football letterman at Kell, and was his teams MVP and Cobb County Defensive Back of the Year in 2005. He was also a three year letterman for the Kell Wrestling Team. At the University of Hawai'i, as a Sophomore he was voted the Special Teams Player of the Year, and as a Junior, Defensive Player of the Year. At the start of his Senior year, he snapped his forearm in the second game of the season against Army, at West Point. Spencer played in 47 games for Hawai'i, starting in 15 straight before breaking his arm. He has played in 2008 and 2010 Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl and the 2007 All-State Sugar Bowl.
He is excited to return to Kell to impart his knowledge and experience garnered under the tutelage of former NFL coaches June Jones, Jerry Glanville and former NFL player Rich Miano. |
