Steve Gates Assistant Head Coach / Offensive Line
Coach Gates is entering his first year at Kell High School as the Assistant Head Coach/OL Coach, coming to us from North Cobb High School. There he served as the Run-game Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach, where the Warriors made the state playoffs the past 5 years consecutively, averaging 33ppg during the 5 years with a Final 4 appearance in 2012.
Coach Gates also served as the Academic Advisor for the football program which maintained a team GPA of 3.0 or higher while under his guidance. Coach Gates came to Cobb in 1987 where he played at McEachern High School and went on to play at the University of Georgia.
Steve and Kristen live in Cobb County and have two children, Connor(16) and Cooper(12).
